A Novel Method for Establishing an Efficiency Map of IPMSMs for EV Propulsion Based on the Finite-Element Method and a Neural Network

In this paper, we introduce a novel method for establishing an efficiency map of interior permanent-magnet synchronous motors that are used electric vehicle propulsion, by employing the finite-element (FEM) and neural network (NN) to reduce analysis time. The electro-magnetic using FEM, particularly iron loss analysis, is significantly time-consuming owing nonlinearity post-processing. Moreover, obtain map, data d-q flux linkages based on currents should be established. At stage, compute densities in all elements, they learned NN function currents. Subsequently, losses at operating points calculated via harmonic method. results proposed indicate time required reduced; furthermore, validated comparison with FEM results.
